One To One Fitness

We are a personal training studio located in Coral Springs, Florida. Our facility is 2,500 square feet and has all the equipment and staff you need to attain the best results. We have been helping individuals of all ages and abilities to achieve and surpass their optimal fitness goals for OVER 28 YEARS!
Our Mission is to empower you to Commit To Fit by coaching you to elevate your fitness to the next level. We analyze your current aptitude and create a personalized plan to transform you physically and mentally. We are certified, qualified, and ready to elevate you to your highest self. 

History

Manuel Mair (Manny) started One To One Fitness, a personal training studio, 26 years ago in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Since then, his priority has been to provide and maintain the highest standard that a fitness training studio can offer in the PT industry. His mission as a personal trainer is to motivate each client and hold them accountable, with knowledgeable training and top-tier resources, to achieve their health and fitness goals. 

In 1992, Manny moved One To One Fitness to Coral Springs, Florida, and for the past twenty years has been located in the Coral Springs Professional Campus. Manny works with adults, middle/high school athletes, minor league players, and professional athletes. Some of his top clients are Roberto Luongo (Goalie for the Vancouver Canucks) and Olli Jokinen (Center for the Winnipeg Jets). He has also been focusing on intense training for executives, presidents, and CEOs. Manny’s philosophy for every client is to:

Manny is from Montego Bay, Jamaica where he lived until the age of 5. He then immigrated to the United States, where he became involved in baseball and track events at a young age. He credits his older brother for inspiring him to give 100% to his ambitions.

It was this mindset that encouraged Manny to pursue competitive men’s fitness in 1997, despite having no experience in competitions and no background in gymnastics nor training. He worked tirelessly and met with professional coaches, fitness competitors, and decorated gymnasts. Together, they provided Manny with the training and fitness knowledge he still uses today. 

After four successful years as a competitor/guest poser with Men’s Fitness, Manny is now sanctioned as a judge with the National Physique Committee (NPC) and a promoter of the Southern States Men’s Fitness Championship (Manuel Mair Men’s Fitness Championship). Driven to create higher standards and to increase national awareness of Men’s Fitness, Manny has become more involved in establishing the criteria of men’s fitness competitions throughout the nation. He is looking forward to men’s fitness becoming a pro-level competition and being as recognized as women’s fitness.

Until the age of 40, Manny’s training goal was to be as strong as possible while maintaining a 205 lb. body weight and without jeopardizing speed, flexibility, and agility. Now, he focuses on competitions involving mid-distance (3-14 miles) road, obstacle, and adventure racing. While maintaining a year-round competition physique, he focuses on eating low fat, complex carbohydrates, vegetables, and protein balanced meals, six to eight times per day, and maintains a healthy, active lifestyle.

“My years of self-discipline as a child carried me through Marine Corp Boot Camp where I was “Iron Man” of my company of 600 Marines in Paris Island Training. Class leader of my MOS Training as well, I became a highly recognized Marine among my superiors. I attribute my successes today to my younger self, who was hard-working and goal-oriented. From a young age, I knew my passion was helping others and wanted my career to reflect this. My first aspiration was to be a firefighter or police officer, during which time I worked with a private investigator doing bodyguard work and some modeling. I discovered my calling while preparing for the Physical Therapy Program. When I trained and worked out, people would ask me questions I could not answer. Following some research, I found The Fitness Institute International. After taking Dr. Abbott’s courses, I acquired one of the most highly recognized personal training certifications in the nation. Within two months, I was inundated with clients and decided to open my own facility called One To One Fitness, Inc.”

Kids Fitness

At One To One Fitness we promote fitness, health and wellness for the entire family. Our kids fitness program are designed for middle through high school and are available in the evenings at a time when kids are free.

Our coaches are knowledgeable and passionate. We encourage team work and positive reinforcement in a fun environment . Kids are taught proper form and are progressed safely to prevent injury risk.

Classes include speed, agility, core and resistance training. The resulting improvement go far beyond physical fitness, these kids also experience improved self esteem and new friendships.

Fitness Evaluation

The fitness evaluation at one to one fitness

Is very comprehensive and provides a baseline for physical fitness from which you can safely progress to achieve your goals. Our state of the art Inbody system provides feedback regarding your general health and wellness status such as potential cardiovascular risk, thus giving us the information needed to create a more personalized program to assist In optimizing your health.

Once we review the results we set up a specific program with active warm-up and cool down procedures. We will also be able to create a cardiovascular training routine for you. You will work with your coach to maximize your session’s time and improve in the areas needed. (e.g. Body composition, endurance, strength, etc.).

***We conduct frequent fitness evaluations and work with you to inspire you to stay on top of your game.

Sport Specific Training

Our sports specific training program is unique. We work with our clients to develop agility and speed.

We tend to put a bigger emphasis on accomplishing tasks with time and efficiency. Most of our athletes understand the demands on taking their athletic abilities to the next level, and therefore we use the athlete’s strengths to aid in developing their weaknesses.

Agility Training can be defined as being able to control center of gravity while maintaining a superior base of support, and to make quick decisions under stress and within certain environments. To accomplish this, we teach how to move adequately through all planes of motion and how to sustain a great base of support and center of gravity.

Speed Training focuses on linear movements (forward and backward movements) along with proper technique and form, starting mechanics, nutrition, and muscular strengthening and stretching.

Cardio Fitness

Cardiovascular training is important for the lungs, heart and overall health and wellness. We provide our clients with a program to follow that will help to achieve their goals.

Our cardiovascular program will challenge your system to metabolize fat while preserving lean body mass.

We coach proper running mechanics so you can take charge of building a stronger body and mind.

Each cardio session could last from 20-60 minutes and is designed to support your fitness goals.

We encourage the use of MY ZONE a high-tech heart rate monitor system that is highly motivating and promotes accountability.

Group Training

Join Us for our Saturday Smack-down!

Saturdays from 9:00 AM- 10:30 AM

The best of everything, indoor and outdoor. Join us for a group class which involves pushing trucks, flipping tires, running, lifting weights, and much much more!

Private Training

Personal Training at One To One Fitness is more than just a workout, it’s an experience!

Our coaches work with you to design individualized programs to achieve your goals and push you to the next level.

We teach you dynamic warmups and mobility drills to prepare your body for the workout, as well as proper stretching techniques to help your body recover.

We encourage clients to do cardiovascular training as well as to make good nutrition choices which are necessary components of a complete health and wellness program.
